My card is pretty simple, but it was fun to make. I freehand cut the flower & leaf with felt. I used a bit of glimmer mist on the flower to darken the color and then carefully used my heat tool to clean up the edges and shape the flower and leaf (which is my favorite part... its so cute and dimensional =] ). If only I was better at taking pictures!!
EDIT: This is a picture that I took the next day in some natural light. Much better! I also used the "Macro" setting that was recommended by Tammy (thanks a bunch) in the comments I received for this post (that's right! I got some comments! *big smiles* I feel the crafty-love!)
Since the flower was so big I kept the rest of the card simple by stamping the kraft cardstock with VersaMark, wrapping some cream floss around it and stamping a sentiment.
So that's it =) My first challenge completed!
Super cute! I am going to have to try my hand at one of those flowers.
ReplyDeleteFantastic first challenge! I adore the flower--I'm going to go out and buy some felt today and try that out!
ReplyDeleteFor sharper pictures, have you tried using the Macro setting on your camera--it's the little Tulip settings button.
