"Las Brisas"

I was able to snap some quick photos of a scrapbook page I made back in July. I was inspired by this layout by Kelly Purkey. I loved how the background pattern paper looked and the diagonal-randomness of the butterflies.

Instead of the butterflies that Kelly Purkey used I wanted to use buttons, BUT my random placement skills aren't very RANDOM looking. So I ended up putting a row of them down the page (in a somewhat random pattern of color and shapes). Even though it didn't end up how I envisioned it, I am happy with how it turned out =)

The colors are so bright and happy. This scrapbook page documents the morning of my husband's birthday AND the day after he had his long awaited Lasik procedure done. We had breakfast in Laguna Beach and he was so amazed and happy that he could finally see!!!

I couldn't really think of a short&sweet title for this layout, so I went with the name of the restaurant we went to... it's not ideal, but it works.

Journaling: "He woke up with 20/20 vision & a huge smile on his face! To celebrate his successful surgery we had breakfast @ Las Brisas, Laguna Beach... and both of us enjoyed the view w/ PERFECT vision! 07.17.09"

Until next time... diana
